The idea of exploring Janine Benyus’ Biomimicry in a book was quite ironic, considering books share information within sheets of paper, like trees do about their life through their rings of bark.

This was created in an entirely online class during lockdown in 2020, so the concept wasn’t pushed as far as I would have liked, and photographs were extremely limited to what I had managed to get before March and what I could take in my own street.

I hope within the pages to demonstrate and compare nature and how we take inspiration from animals, plants and systems to create our own products, engineering, designs and systems.

The wayfinding of the book, positioned each segment as a different colour to guide the reader through the different colourd sections.
