Case Study: Day By Day

Day By Day is an insurance startup using blockchain technology to digitise and improve insurance processes. Starting back up in 2021 after COVID lockdowns, the company onboarded me as their social media coordinator among other marketing responsibilities, launching a crypto token, NFTs, new platforms as part of the ecosystem and building a community of loyal fans. Alongside the company’s first round of fundraising with Algorand, I was involved in promoting mainly on Twitter, the use cases of the crypto token, educate on blockchain technology and update followers on the plans for the business.

Being a startup, I did not have long term social media plans, but worked in sprints based on what stage of the build the app and wider product was at. I created a content plan and content pillars, designed social media content and wrote captions and engaged with the community to drive engagement and brand awareness.

From creating a consistent posts on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and engaging with community members on Discord, I was able to grow the company’s total following acorss all accounts from 2000 (LinkedIn and Facebook) to over 15,000 across all platforms in 24 months. This included several launch campaigns, co-branded marketing activities with partners and a steadily growing engagement rate.
